Mrs. Vey is a graduate of R.I.T., Rochester, N. Y., with a major in
Applied Arts.
After raising a family she worked as a graphic
designer, fashion illustrator and ultimately as an advertising account
executive.
Barbara has shown her art at Lake Eustis Museum of
Art, Tavares City Hall, Wilson Arts Council in NC, Cornell Museum of Art
in Delray Beach, has been accepted into the last four juried shows at
the Mount Dora Center for the Arts, winning a first in one. She
also showed with three other women at MDCA in 2003.
Mrs. Vey is represented by the Flying Fish Gallery in
Eustis and Framemakers' Gallery in Leesburg. She is a member of
MDCA, MDAL, LEMA, LAA, Florida Watercolor Society and Central Florida
Watercolor Society, and has received numerous awards at the shows of
these and other organizations.
Her goal is to be able to communicate the inner
thoughts of people at work or play and her feelings about the earth's
beauty in combination with the accomlishments of man.
